John joined Silver Lake Bank in 2022 and leads the bank's newest location in Overland Park. He is well established in the Greater Kansas City market with more than 30 years of commercial banking experience and previously served as Market President and Chief Credit Officer for two other financial institutions.
John and his wife Clare, who reside in Overland Park, are native Nebraskans. The couple have four children -- three college graduates and one at the University of Kansas. Over the years, John has been actively involved in his kids' activities and coached many of their sports teams. He enjoys traveling, golfing and is an avid Nebraska, KU, Chiefs and Royals fan.
On the business front, John enjoys being a financial partner with customers to help them grow their business. He enjoys being with a family-owned bank rather than a big bank because he knows his services can be more impactful, plus being able to make decisions locally which results in faster turnaround. John's degree from the University of Nebraska in economics and business administration, have enabled him to help many business owners to finance their working capital and acquisition needs. His business development specialties include working capital lines of credit, equipment financing, commercial real estate and residential construction lending.
