Brice Feldt joined Silver Lake Bank in 1993 after moving to Topeka following graduation from Fort Hays State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. The move to Topeka was a big step for Brice who was born and raised in Hoxie, a small town in western Kansas.
Brice has served in many capacities at Silver Lake Bank beginning with his initial role as an accounting clerk, a position he held for approximately 9 months before being promoted to assistant controller and eventually controller. During his first few years with the bank, Brice oversaw the accounting department while also fulfilling the roles of internal auditor, payroll clerk and branch manager of the main bank location. Brice’s willingness to solve problems and his understanding of computer processing and back room operations eventually led him to relinquish his accounting duties and assume responsibility for the information technology aspects of Silver Lake Bank. He served as Senior Vice President of Information Technology for more than two decades. Today, he serves as the bank's Chief Operating Officer.
When Brice isn’t busy at work dealing with computer, software or other bank related projects, he can usually be found volunteering. Brice and his family are active members of Christ the King Catholic Church in Topeka. His wife Anna taught for 9 years at Christ the King School before eventually also joining Silver Lake Bank in 2006. Their children, Marya and Brenden, attended grade school at Christ the King and both graduated from Hayden Catholic High School. The church and both schools hold a special place in Brice’s heart. He currently serves on the Finance Council, Capital Campaign Committee and other various fundraising committees for the church and schools. Brice is also an active member and current Financial Secretary for Christ the King Knights of Columbus.
Brice’s family and friends are a very important part of his life. Many events involving family and friends are centered around activities at the church or school. His family also enjoys traveling with their favorite trips being those visiting different countries and ports of call with Disney Cruise Lines. To help curb the appetite for cruising, Brice enjoys swimming in their pool as much as possible during the warmer months!
Brice’s small town upbringing and strong work ethic along with his “whatever it takes” attitude is invaluable not only to his personal successes but also to the continued success of the bank and our customers.
